Terms of use

Short version: be decent, only upload photos you're allowed to use, and don't treat the AI try-on as gospel. The rest is detail.
Using CheckMeOut
- You need to be at least 16 to use it.
- Keep your login details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One account per person, please.
Your photos and posts
Only upload photos of yourself, or photos you have the right to use. Don't upload pictures of other people without their consent, and don't post anything illegal, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights.
You keep ownership of what you upload. By posting it, you give me permission to store it and show it to other users so the app can work.
The virtual try-on is an approximation
Try-on images are generated by AI. They're a rough preview, not an accurate picture of how something will fit, drape, or look in real life — colours, proportions, and fabric behaviour will all be off to some degree.
Don't make a purchase on the strength of a try-on image alone. Check the seller's own photos, sizing, and return policy.
Links to other shops
“Buy it” and “Find it” links go to third-party shops and search results I don't run. Pricing, availability, the checkout, delivery, and returns are between you and that shop — not my responsibility. I don't earn commission on your purchases unless a post says otherwise.
This is a small project
CheckMeOut is run by one person. It's provided as-is, with no promises about uptime, that it won't lose data, or that it'll keep existing. Don't rely on it as your only copy of anything you care about.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses arising from your use of CheckMeOut — including a purchase you regret after a try-on, downtime, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn't allow me to limit, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending your account
You can delete your account any time from your profile page. I can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
Changes
I may update these terms. If I make a significant change I'll note it here; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
